Eurest is a premier leader in the business and industry dining sector, dedicated to providing exceptional food service experiences across a wide variety of prestigious companies throughout the United States. As part of Compass Group USA, one of the largest and most respected foodservice providers globally, Eurest emphasizes innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction in every facet of its operations. With a workforce of over 16,000 chefs and in-unit associates, the company specializes in delivering world-class meals through corporate cafes, executive dining rooms, on-site catering, vending innovations, and more. Eurest is committed to fostering a work environment that offers limitless opportunities for growth, learning, and career advancement within the dynamic foodservice and hospitality industries.
Currently, Eurest is seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join their culinary leadership team. This full-time role offers a competitive salary range between $60,000 and $65,000 annually, with a pay grade of 12, reflecting the importance and responsibility vested in this position. The Sous Chef will play a critical role in the successful operation of the Culinary Department at a facility, working closely with the Executive Chef to oversee food preparation, menu development, and overall kitchen management. The role involves supervising hourly kitchen associates, ensuring high standards of food quality, and promoting innovative culinary programs in alignment with company marketing initiatives.
The ideal candidate for the Sous Chef position will be an energetic and entrepreneurial culinary professional who thrives in high-volume, complex foodservice environments. Responsibilities include assisting with cost control management, expenditure oversight, and executing catering events that meet and exceed client expectations. This position also offers the opportunity to introduce new culinary programs and menu items, supporting Eurest's commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Eurest encourages applicants with progressive culinary or kitchen management experience, a background in catering, and familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods. The company values comprehensive knowledge of food trends, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation techniques, as well as proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office suite and email communication tools. Certification in ServSafe or similar food safety programs is highly desirable. Eurest is not only focused on delivering exceptional food service but also on creating a supportive work culture that includes numerous employee benefits like medical, dental, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and wellness programs.
Joining Eurest means becoming a part of a leading foodservice company where your expertise contributes directly to client success and employee satisfaction. If you are passionate about culinary excellence and eager to advance your career in a fast-growing, innovative organization, this opportunity with Eurest presents an ideal pathway. The company values diversity and is an equal opportunity employer, committed to fair treatment and employment equity for all candidates and associates. Applicants must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. This position maintains a drug-free workplace, and applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, inviting dedicated culinary professionals to embark on a rewarding career journey with Eurest.
