Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Four years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • OR two-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • Two years of experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
  • Ability to lead kitchen staff and manage daily operations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience with budget management and scheduling systems
  • Availability to work full time on-site at the Orlando location
  • Commitment to uphold company policies and guest service standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
  • Estimates daily production needs and communicates them to kitchen personnel
  • Assists Executive Chef with kitchen operations and food preparation
  • Prepares and cooks foods for regular service and special events
  • Develops new culinary ideas, recipes, and decorative food presentations
  • Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards
  • Ensures compliance with food handling, sanitation and safety standards
  • Supervises cooks and kitchen staff, leading shifts and executing food requests
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills to lead, influence, and motivate team members
  • Provides exceptional customer service and promptly handles guest complaints
  • Oversees employee performance, training, and development
  • Plans work activities to meet budget and performance goals
  • Operates department equipment and reports malfunctions
