The role available is that of a Sous Chef, a pivotal position responsible for the operational success of the Culinary Department within a facility managed by Flik Hospitality Group. Job Requirements
- Education equivalent to A.S. degree or higher
- Experience in culinary or kitchen management
- Experience with catering preferred
- Proficiency in high volume foodservice environments
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to use computer software including Microsoft Office and email
- Willingness to engage in client satisfaction initiatives
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience is a plus
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Comprehensive understanding of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- Ability to participate in client satisfaction programs
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
