The position of Part-Time Sous Chef at Uncle Giuseppe's offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic kitchen team known for its passion for bold flavors and culinary excellence. As the Sous Chef, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities including supervising daily food preparation and production aimed at both the hot bar and catering services. You will play a critical role in coordinating catering orders, maintaining rigorous food safety, sanitation, and allergen protocols, managing kitchen inventory, and ensuring seamless communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • 2+ years in a Sous Chef or supervisory role (retail or catering preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial food production and portion control
  • Familiarity with dietary restrictions and allergen protocols
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain
