The company prides itself on promoting talented leaders from within and maintains a people-first culture focused on leadership development and operational excellence. Known for its stable and financially sound operation, the company fosters a collaborative management environment and offers a clear career path for ambitious culinary professionals. This organization is ideal for culinary leaders seeking a long-term career with opportunities for growth, professional training, and advancement into executive culinary roles.
We are looking for an exceptional Sous Chef to join one of the company’s busy scratch kitchen restaurants. This role is perfect for a hands-on culinary leader who enjoys leading from the front, coaching and developing kitchen teams, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to oversee daily back-of-house operations, including food production, scheduling, inventory management, and vendor relations. The role involves maintaining strict adherence to recipes and kitchen processes while fostering a positive and productive work culture within the culinary team.
Compensation for this role ranges from $55,000 to $65,000 base salary, supplemented by an uncapped profit-sharing bonus with annual earning potential between $7,000 and $12,000 or more. Benefits include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with discretionary company match. Employees receive paid time off of three weeks, enjoy early closures on Christmas Eve, and the establishment is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Additionally, new hires participate in a structured 10-week management training program with ongoing leadership development and advancement opportunities.
The Sous Chef role extends beyond daily kitchen duties to include responsibilities such as participating in hiring, onboarding, and retaining high-performing back-of-house team members. Leadership in kitchen operations during the Executive Chef’s absence is also required, demonstrating trust and confidence in the candidate's operational and culinary management skills. This position offers a unique opportunity for growth within a supportive and established restaurant group where professional development and career progression are prioritized. If you are seeking to build a lasting career and contribute to an award-winning culinary team in a polished casual dining environment, this opportunity could be the ideal next step in your culinary career journey.
