Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary degree or certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a culinary setting
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a sous chef or in a similar culinary leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to lead and motivate a culinary team
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Experience in training and developing kitchen staff
  • Familiarity with food preparation techniques and culinary trends
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
  • Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional guest service

Job Duties

  • Support and assist in the preparation and design of all food orders
  • Maintain the highest standards of brand, local health, safety, and food preparation hygiene
  • Support the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes to consistently deliver all products and services to brand standards
  • Support senior management in building a highly functional hourly team who share a common vision and values surrounding the overall success of the kitchen
  • Foster an environment of customer service in which all team members put the guest first in every interaction
  • Execute established food standards for overall guest satisfaction that meet or exceed brand expectations
  • Ensure the highest levels of hygiene and food handling practices to deliver optimal quality of product to guests
  • Support staff development and advancement along well-defined career paths
  • Serve as a Culinary Learning Coach developing, implementing, and executing learning and development programs for all Heart of House employees
  • Fill in for the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Possess a self-motivated approach to his/her own personal and professional growth
