Job Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in commercial cooking or apprenticeship or certification from culinary school required
  • Knowledge of food and hygiene regulations such as HACCP
  • Ability to demonstrate financial controls including cost and stock management
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Service orientation
  • Leadership capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Execute and supervise food production activities such as cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking of food items
  • Assume responsibilities of the Executive Chef during his or her absence including vacation, off-days, and menu presentations
  • Supervise, coordinate, and control kitchen helpers in food storage, maintaining tidiness and following first in - first out principles
  • Conduct, coordinate, and supervise inventories
  • Monitor material consumption and order required food and equipment daily to satisfy production plans
  • Participate in the development of food products and menus for presentations
  • Maintain and monitor hygiene, health, and safety standards ensuring adherence to HACCP regulations
