This particular role involves supervision and operational leadership within the culinary department. As a supervisor, you will guide and oversee daily activities, support operational goals, and manage scheduling while ensuring guest satisfaction remains a priority. You will be responsible for adhering to budgets, maintaining quality assurance, enforcing compliance with health and regulatory standards, and upholding superior customer service. Collaboration with the Chef de Cuisine includes managing administrative duties such as attendance monitoring. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Associates degree in culinary or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum two years culinary experience
  • Minimum one year supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and manuals
  • Strong mathematical ability
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and problems tactfully
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, instructions, and manuals in English
  • Ability to qualify for required licenses and permits
  • Physical ability to lift and move weights up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform various physical activities
  • Ability to work in moderate noise levels and varying temperature environments

Job Qualifications

  • Associates degree in culinary or related field
  • Minimum two years of culinary experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum one year supervisory experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Effective presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and interpreting graphs
  • Ability to interact with guests and staff diplomatically and tactfully

Job Duties

  • Provide guidance and daily supervision to staff in the department
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives
  • Adhere to scheduling and coordinate with manager on scheduling concerns
  • Produce menu items as listed
  • Follow prep lists and ensure kitchens are stocked and ready
  • Support compliance to departmental budgets
  • Promote superior customer service and address issues
  • Maintain cost control methods by monitoring inventory
  • Assist with administrative duties like attendance tracking
  • Ensure quality assurance procedures and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Oversee staff development and training

  • Recommend staffing and scheduling to meet needs
