The Sous Chef position supports the Corporate Chef by playing an essential role in the overall kitchen operations. This role involves assisting in food preparation, conducting cooking demonstrations, developing menus, managing ingredient inventory, and ensuring the kitchen maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. The Sous Chef is a key contributor to the smooth and efficient running of the kitchen, stepping in to supervise in the absence of the Corporate Chef. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment, and committed to delivering culinary excellence during consumer events and culinary showcases. Ideal candidates will have a solid culinary background, strong leadership skills, and a passion for creating memorable food experiences. This is a full-time role that needs flexibility to accommodate evening and weekend events, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and present food for events and demonstrations
  • assist with menu planning and development
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, including post-event cleanup
  • supervise kitchen operations in the Chef’s absence
  • support consumer cooking demonstrations and culinary events
  • manage ingredient ordering and inventory control
  • uphold food safety and sanitation standards
