Job Requirements
- Certification or college degree in culinary arts preferred
- Minimum three years experience as a chef
- Maintains current food services sanitation certificate
- ServeSafe certified
- Demonstrates proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications
- Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours
- Knowledge of state or provincial food safety regulations
- Ability to engage actively with residents and team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to uphold safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties
- Lead daily food production and preparation and ensure that all meals are made in accordance with quality standards
- Responsible for food presentation and ensure that each dish is high in quality and visually appealing
- Maintain close attention to portion control and utilize techniques to ensure consistency and cost-effectiveness
- Engage actively with residents during mealtime to gauge satisfaction and address concerns
- Provide leadership and fill in when Executive Chef III is not present in direction of food preparation
- Support the Executive Chef III in managing overall kitchen operations including staff supervision and inventory management
- Collaborate with the dining team to organize and facilitate special events and community activities involving food service
