Job Requirements
- One year of experience in food preparation or kitchen coordination
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Physical ability to perform tasks involving grasping, reaching, bending, and kneeling
- Willingness to obtain and maintain required certifications
Job Qualifications
- One year of experience in a similar or same position preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for majority of shift
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver up to 40 pounds
- Ability to grasp, reach, bend, lift, and kneel
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary licenses or certifications
Job Duties
- Coordinate and administer all food preparation, presentation, and service procedures as directed by the Executive Chef
- Monitor quantity of prepared food and ensure quality and quantity standards
- Ensure proper rotation and utilization of stored food to prevent waste
- Oversee food preparation to ensure proper consistency, flavor, presentation, and portion control
- Monitor employee performance and provide instruction as needed
- Monitor staffing levels including early out requests and overtime
- Requisition stock according to business needs
- Ensure kitchen and storage areas meet health and safety standards
- Delegate work assignments to kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and safety in kitchen and related areas
