- strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Help Executive Chef prepare and cook foods
- coordinate activities of cooks and food-service associates
- assume responsibility for kitchen and food-service associates in absence of Executive Chef
- cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
- supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing scheduling payroll training counseling and recommending disciplinary action
- store food following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- ensure proper food handling presentation portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- maintain sanitation of equipment supplies and utensils
- clean workstation thoroughly before leaving area
- keep display equipment clean and free of debris during meal service
- interact with customers to resolve complaints
- relay relevant information to supervisor
- demonstrate understanding of daily menu items
- monitor inventory and deliveries
- track product production consumption and waste
- inform supervisor when supplies are low
- perform other duties as assigned
