The role of Kitchen Supervisor at Huntsville Hospital involves coordinating the activities and directing the training of chefs, food production teams, and other kitchen staff responsible for preparing and cooking food. This position plays a critical role in ensuring high-quality, efficient, and profitable food service within the hospital's food service operations. The Kitchen Supervisor will oversee daily kitchen operations to guarantee that meals meet established standards for taste, presentation, and safety. They will also manage training initiatives to develop a skilled team capable of maintaining exceptional food quality and service efficiency.

They are expected to apply mathematical concepts, such as fractions, ratios, and percentages, to practical kitchen scenarios and maintain confidentiality about employee and client information. Additionally, the incumbent must complete specialized training courses provided through Huntsville Hospital's Corporate University within six months of employment, such as Just Culture, Top Employment Traps for Managers, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People in Healthcare, Workplace Professionalism, Selecting the Right Employees, Personal Style Indicator, and A Leaders Guide to Worker’s Compensation.

This position is ideal for candidates with 2 to 8 years of supervisory experience, who are committed to delivering outstanding culinary services in a healthcare setting. While a high school diploma or GED is required, a college degree is preferred but not mandatory.
