Job Requirements
- Minimum two years culinary experience
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Experience in kitchen staff supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical endurance for kitchen duties
Job Qualifications
- Two to three years' experience in a related culinary position
- Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
- Experiential knowledge required for management of people and/or problems
- Excellent oral, reading, and written communication skills
- Willingness to be hands on with staff and operations
- Ability to work event-based hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, and presentation of all foods for unit(s) to ensure consistent quality product
- Ensure a sufficient inventory is maintained to meet daily needs, record deliveries, deal with discrepancies, and assist with storage
- Ensure proper handling of all food products and equipment is maintained to adhere to food safety and kitchen standards
- Maintain cleanliness and high sanitation standards at all times
- Interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel staff
- resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline as appropriate
- Adapt to changing duties, responsibilities, and activities as assigned with or without notice
- Engage in continuous learning to develop new skills and meet operational commitments
