Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 10 years of professional cooking experience
- Prior experience in hotel culinary operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of cooking experience
- Experience in banquets or high-volume production and plating execution
- Leadership skills with a desire to grow into a supervisory role
- Experience in hotel culinary operations
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to develop menus and keep up with culinary trends
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
- Experience in fine dining and upscale dining is a plus
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef in the direction and oversight of all culinary operations including preparation and production of all hotel meals
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
- Comply with all safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards and regulations
- Monitor and develop team member performance through supervision, counseling, evaluations, training, scheduling, and recognition
- Implement policies and procedures related to kitchen operations
- Create and implement menu selections for special banquet themes and events in partnership with the Executive Chef and Director of Food and Beverage
- Manage cost controls and overall profitability of kitchen operations
