Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- 1 to 3 years experience as a Sous Chef
- Ability to manage food preparation operations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to estimate food consumption and manage inventory
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Ability to follow established policies and procedures
- Integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- Accredited culinary school degree preferred
- 1 to 3 years experience as a Sous Chef
- ServSafe certification preferred
Job Duties
- Oversee day to day execution of menus and culinary deliverables
- Ensure employees have appropriate equipment, inventory and resources
- Provide positive and constructive feedback to reward, coach, and motivate employees
- Maintain highest level of service quality delivery
- Estimate food consumption and manage ingredient purchasing
- Address potential problems and communicate status to management
- Establish operating standards and implement quality improvements
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in kitchen areas
- Adhere to cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen and equipment
- Provide safety training and ensure compliance with safety programs
- Follow City of Hope policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity
- Perform other related duties as assigned
