The shift schedule is from Tuesday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., providing a consistent work routine.

As a Sous Chef, you will be the key culinary leader responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to residents by ensuring all food preparation meets high culinary standards. You will take on the role of a Gustatory Genius, making sure that meals are delicious, well-portioned, and minimize waste. Leadership is integral to this position. As a Culinary Captain, you will lead your team in daily kitchen operations, fostering engagement, maintaining high standards, coaching team members, and holding them accountable to ensure the kitchen runs efficiently and smoothly. Working at The Wellington Senior Living means being part of a close-knit team that values respect, teamwork, and the joy of making a difference in residents’ lives daily.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old and bring experience, preferably three or more years, in senior housing or a related field, though this is not mandatory. Educationally, candidates will have completed formal culinary or food service training or have equivalent full-time supervisory or management experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with the ability to manage email communication, are also required.

This role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The ability to work in a kitchen environment with exposure to extreme temperatures and possible outdoor work for events is essential. Candidates must also pass a criminal background check and be prepared to work indoors primarily.

Arrow Senior Living values its team members and offers excellent benefits such as company-matched 401(k), medical, dental, and vision insurance, disability and life insurance, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and paid time off. The company encourages career growth, favors internal promotion, and provides a supportive, respectful workplace where employees can build lifelong friendships and enjoy their work environment.
