Job Requirements
- Bilingual (Cantonese and English)
- Must be able to read and write Chinese
- Have experience with both Asian and Western cooking
- Willingness to work Thursday through Monday schedule
- Ability to meet health and safety standards
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Willingness to undergo required health tests
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a cook or line/prep cook
- Preferred experience as a sous chef
- Preferred experience managing food inventory
- Must be 18+ years of age
- Food preparation and production experience required
- Ability to meet all health requirements
- Must be willing to take 2-step TB test
Job Duties
- Preparing meals
- Supports a disciplined environment and provides supervision in the absence of the Culinary Services Director
- Manages food inventory appropriately and sets up work areas/stations with all necessary supplies in advance of meal service
- Performs portion control and minimizes waste to keep cost within forecasted ranges for recipes
- Understands and maintains all necessary documentation, including but not limited to, time/temperature logs, menus, invoices, etc.
- Upholding cleanliness standards
- Helping serve residents
- Train and mentor new employees
