Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, early mornings, and weekends
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and stretch for extended periods
- Strong manual dexterity including grasping and repetitive motions
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Capability to find immediate and effective solutions to problems during events
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar culinary position
- Expertise in food product quality, preparation, presentation, menu concept, and design
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Positive attitude and team player
Job Duties
- Ensure all kitchen operations including event staffing, scheduling, training, supervision of direct reports, execution of all menu items, ordering, storage, organization, and inventory of products
- Review event rental requirements and implement all sanitation procedures as directed by the Executive Sous Chef
- Adhere to all State and Local Health Department rules and regulations for catering and special events
- Coordinate with the front-of-house team to align with product availability, ordering, service flow, food presentation, and display requirements
- Assist Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with menu development, menu mix, and standardized recipes
- Manage food and labor costs related to catering and special events
- Provide immediate solutions to issues arising during special events and catering set-up
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs
