The position available is Food Outlet Supervisor, responsible for overseeing food preparation across all shifts for a designated food outlet within Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain. This role is vital in ensuring the delivery of high-quality food and exceptional guest satisfaction. The supervisor coordinates closely with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service, helping to meet and exceed the casino’s food service goals.
In this role, the incumbent will create an inviting and dynamic atmosphere that encourages guests to choose the venue for their dining and gaming entertainment needs. They will actively build and maintain strong guest relations while mentoring team members to uphold superior guest service standards. The supervisor will be responsible for hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, and supervising staff to ensure that team members are well-equipped and supported in achieving both individual and departmental objectives.
Additionally, the supervisor will develop and maintain training and development procedures to uphold service quality and departmental standards. Keeping close attention to department budgets, food purchasing, food inventory, and staffing levels is essential to controlling costs and minimizing waste. They will monitor food preparation directly by assessing cooking techniques and tasting results to guarantee food consistency and quality aligned with hard Rock’s standards.
The role also involves contributing to menu development initiatives to ensure variety and maintain the highest food quality. The supervisor must enforce strict food storage protocols to comply with health regulations and guarantee food safety. They will serve as backup to the Room Chef when necessary and actively participate in meetings and follow-up activities to stay aligned with organizational priorities.
Candidates for this role should have a minimum of eight years of progressive food preparation experience or the equivalent combination of culinary education and experience, including supervisory responsibilities. They must obtain and maintain all necessary certifications and pass background and drug screenings. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to adapt to variable work schedules, and a dedication to delivering outstanding service. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, kitchen operations, budgeting, and food quality control are essential.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- must successfully pass background check
- must successfully pass drug screening
- must obtain and maintain all licenses and certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming/Lottery regulations
- must have a minimum of 8 years progressive food preparation experience or equivalent education and experience
- must have at least 1 year supervisory experience
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to communicate effectively
- flexibility to work varying shifts
- must demonstrate professional appearance and behavior
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years progressive food preparation experience or culinary arts degree with 4 years progressive food preparation experience including 1 year supervisory experience
