In addition, they will review menus and recipes to analyze food, labor, and overhead costs while setting appropriate prices for menu items. The Kitchen Manager will also direct food apportionment policies to control costs and ensure that all food is prepared according to prescribed standards. Supervisory responsibilities include training newly hired chefs and cooks, coordinating kitchen assignments, overseeing apprentice cooks, and enforcing nutrition and sanitation standards.
