Job Description

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, situated inside the renowned MGM Grand in Las Vegas, is a premier dining destination known for its elevated comfort food served in a lively and approachable atmosphere. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team and contribute to upholding the Wolfgang Puck standard of quality. This position is integral to the back-of-house operations, involving leadership, culinary expertise, and operational management within a high-volume, upscale environment. The Sous Chef will work closely with the Executive Chef to ensure that every dish leaving the kitchen meets the brand's rigorous standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. The role demands strong hands-on cooking ability combined with effective team leadership skills. The ideal candidate will oversee daily kitchen operations, coordinate multiple kitchen stations, and foster a culture of training, mentorship, and clear communication among culinary staff. Responsibilities include managing inventory, placing and receiving orders according to par levels, and ensuring the kitchen environment adheres to the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume, upscale or fine dining restaurant
  • hands-on expertise in grill, pizza, pasta, and butchery techniques
  • experience managing large kitchen teams
  • knowledge of ordering, inventory systems, and kitchen administration
  • excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • ability to lead, coach, and motivate a team
  • culinary degree or relevant certification preferred
  • ServeSafe or equivalent food handler certification required
