Working closely with the executive chef and the operations team, the Sous Chef manages daily kitchen operations, assists in banquet functions, oversees food quality, and enforces health and safety standards. In addition to culinary responsibilities, the Sous Chef is expected to maintain budgetary controls related to food costs, labor, and supplies while contributing to profit optimization by reviewing monthly financial reports and making necessary adjustments. A key aspect of this position includes collaborating with sales and operations teams, especially when the Kitchen Manager or Chef is unavailable, to ensure successful execution of banquet services and special events. The role emphasizes teamwork, staff scheduling based on business volume, and fostering a positive and disciplined work environment. Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue
  • Experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events is desirable
  • Relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
  • Current ServSafe certification required
