Additional responsibilities include inspecting kitchen cleanliness to meet and exceed Greek House Chefs health standards, assisting with food presentation, and ensuring all food products meet quality assurance and storage standards. The role also involves interacting with vendors and clients professionally, handling inventory and ordering, and participating in special events, which are essential to the company’s service offerings.

This position demands a strong ability to work efficiently under pressure, prioritize job duties, and maintain high energy and stamina throughout work hours. Effective communication skills and problem sensitivity are crucial for addressing kitchen and operational challenges proactively. The role requires availability for up to three special events per semester and adherence to strict scheduling and time management protocols established by the Executive Chef and upper management. Physical demands include prolonged standing and walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing various kitchen tasks requiring dexterity and coordination. The Sous Chef must also acquire and maintain ServSafe certification and, where applicable, a valid food handler’s card to comply with food safety regulations.

Overall, this position at Greek House Chefs offers an opportunity for culinary professionals to develop leadership skills within a vibrant and demanding kitchen environment while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
