The role of Assistant Executive Chef at Greek House Chefs is a pivotal position responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the daily operations of the kitchen. This full-time position requires someone who has an eye for detail and a passion for culinary excellence. The person in this role will assist with preparing, seasoning, and cooking dishes to ensure that the meals served meet the high standards expected by clients. They will also be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations in the absence of the Executive Chef, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include aiding in menu preparation, monitoring food quality and freshness, and managing ordering and stock to meet the demands of service.

This position demands excellent leadership skills as you will be expected to guide junior kitchen staff, oversee kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, ensure proper food rotation for quality assurance, and maintain organized service lines especially during busy hours. The Assistant Executive Chef plays an integral role in maintaining the professional environment of the kitchen by enforcing uniform and hygiene protocols. You will also be involved with vendor relations, communicating client feedback, and assisting with scheduling and time management of kitchen personnel.

Greek House Chefs places a strong emphasis on training and development, so you will work closely with the Executive Chef to enhance staff's skills and ensure continuous improvement. This role requires flexibility including the ability to work special events as scheduled and transfer to other worksites if needed. This role requires holding a valid Food Handler's Card and obtaining ServSafe Certification within the first available class after employment. Candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience, although no prior formal training is required. Job Requirements
