Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a kitchen leadership role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to train and lead kitchen staff
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Trains all kitchen associates on job duties including plate presentation and display work
  • Writes schedules, evaluates, and directs all kitchen personnel
  • Maintains open verbal and written communication between management and associates
  • Writes and enforces disciplinary actions when necessary
  • Provides necessary tools and equipment for associates to perform their jobs
  • Takes immediate action to resolve kitchen problems
  • Participates in monthly and weekly meetings regarding department and kitchen operations
  • Ensures all food served is high quality, properly prepared and efficiently expedited
  • Assists in establishing goals, standards, and objectives for operational success
  • Supervises kitchen staff in absence of Executive Chef and provides guidance to kitchen associates
  • Maintains all kitchen records including recipe cards and roast meat charts
  • Ensures timely submission of payroll hours to accounting department
