Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum experience in culinary or kitchen management
- Ability to supervise and lead kitchen staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in client satisfaction activities
- Ability to adhere to sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Associate of Science degree or equivalent experience
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience preferred
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Comprehensive understanding of food trends, quality, presentation, and cost controls
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Experience participating in client satisfaction programs
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams
- Supervise hourly kitchen staff
- Ensure sanitation and food safety standards are met
- Develop daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment
