Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification
- Must possess and maintain a valid CA noncommercial Class C License
- Background check with satisfactory results
- Live Scan background check prior to employment
- Must be 18 years or older
- Satisfactory pre-placement physical examination
- Subject to California DMV Pull Notice System with a satisfactory driving record
- Mandatory reporter under CANRA with signed statement
- Ability to work rotating schedules holidays weekends and nights
- Full-time onsite work schedule
- Ability to communicate in English sufficient to perform duties
Job Qualifications
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience as a sous chef in a large-scale restaurant or hospitality environment
- 3+ years experience leading or managing teams in a high-volume environment
- Demonstrated ability as a managing Executive Sous Chef leading a culinary production team specializing in Vegan Vegetarian Healthy cuisine
- Culinary knowledge of food inventory recipes menus production methods and nutritional information in Vegan Vegetarian Healthy cuisine
- Ability to organize delegate and monitor work assignments
- Demonstrated ability to control food labor and supply costs
- Ability to hire train supervise schedule and evaluate employees
- Working knowledge of safety and sanitation rules and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to lead group training sessions and meetings
- Skill in working under changing priorities deadlines and competing requirements
- Ability to analyze and solve administrative and operational problems
- Experience in developing testing and perfecting healthy nutritious recipes
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers food processors and combi-ovens
- Ability to measure food stuffs according to recipe and production requirements
- Ability to utilize software for reports and spreadsheets
- Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License
Job Duties
- Provide sound team leadership and direction to production staff
- Assign motivate and monitor the work of others
- Prepare complex menu items and recipes according to culinary production and quality standards
- Train and monitor staff on safe usage of production equipment
- Ensure customer service and food quality standards are maintained
- Oversee adherence to all food handling and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain accurate records including service records temperature logs and production records
