Job Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent required
- Culinary Arts certificate or related field preferred
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the food services industry
- ServSafe Manager and Mass Allergen Awareness certifications required
- CPR certified and AED/First Aid certified or willing to attend training
- Driver's license required with DOT physical to drive box truck
- Knowledge of Worcester County Food Bank operations or prior experience
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask
- Successful passage of CORI/Background check
- Compliance with Veterans Inc. COVID-19 vaccination policy, with religious and medical exemptions considered
Job Qualifications

- Culinary Arts Certificate or related field preferred

- ServSafe Manager certification required

- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of Worcester County Food Bank operations or experience preferred

- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask effectively
Job Duties
- Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of multiple kitchens
- Assists with maintaining kitchen appliances and calls vendors as needed
- Assists with monitoring the cafeteria and kitchen's daily duties
- Acts as the point of contact when the Food Services Manager is unavailable
- Assists with inventory and food donation management
- Performs proper maintenance of food storage areas, dating all food items using FIFO
- Enforces ServSafe food services health and safety guidelines
- Assists with overseeing volunteer coordination for food distribution
- Assists with catered food and special company events and staff meetings
- Responsible for food preparation according to pre-planned menus
- Supervises kitchen volunteers and manages record keeping
- Assists with unpacking, labeling, storing, and rotating food and disposables
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitization of kitchen and dining equipment and areas
- Reports appliance and equipment failures promptly
- Assists with periodic inventory checks and regulatory compliance
- Serves as point of contact for Worcester County Food Bank pick-ups and drop-offs
- Comfortable driving a box truck for food pickups
- Cooks as needed
