Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous chef experience preferred but not required
  • Food safety training preferred but not required
  • Ability to perform physical tasks in a kitchen environment
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food following approved recipes and production standards
  • Ensure all deadlines based on production orders are met
  • Supervise hourly food service associates including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, and performance reviews
  • Store food in designated areas following corporate, state and federal food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure proper food handling, presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • Maintain sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils and clean workstation thoroughly
  • Interact with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Demonstrate complete understanding of daily menu items and accurately explain them
  • Monitor peak production and service hours
  • Track inventory and deliveries of product and supplies and report low stock to supervisor
  • Perform other duties as assigned
