Job Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age or older
- Ability to provide verification of legal right to work in the United States
- Completion of a post-secondary culinary arts program or equivalent experience
- Experience in supervisory roles within kitchen operations
- Valid Food Handler Card and any required certifications
- Ability to read and interpret standardized recipes, measurements, and reports
- Basic mathematical skills related to inventory and recipe preparation
- Capability to supervise and manage hourly kitchen employees
- Physical ability to work standing for long periods, lift up to 75 pounds, and perform tasks involving stooping, kneeling, and crouching
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- Completion of a post-secondary culinary arts program or equivalent experience
- Experience in a supervisory role preferably in a kitchen setting
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant POS systems
- Ability to multi-task and manage time efficiently
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of service and culinary quality
- Flexible availability for varied shifts including evenings and weekends
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor
- Continuous self-education in food trends
Job Duties
- Supervise kitchen operations alongside Executive Chef
- Ensure all food production workers perform duties according to company standards
- Manage kitchen staff and provide leadership during food service
- Train and coach kitchen staff on company policies and sanitation requirements
- Assist in creating weekly work schedules for back-of-house employees
- Direct food production and handle line execution
- Oversee daily ordering and receiving for kitchen operations and adjust when items do not meet quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as needed
- Participate in recipe development and maintain core recipe files
- Conduct orientation and performance evaluations of kitchen staff
- Monitor food production areas for safety and sanitation compliance
- Complete daily paperwork including invoices, food budgets, and pricing
- Utilize Microsoft Suite and restaurant POS systems effectively
- Foster a positive work environment through professional communication
- Demonstrate excellent customer service and composure under pressure
- Deliver exceptional service and hospitality
