Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years sous chef experience
  • Experience in full-service restaurant environment
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen teams
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Physical ability to move and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Commitment to maintaining high food quality and safety standards

  • 2-3 years of sous chef experience in a full-service restaurant
  • Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff

Job Duties

  • Run BOH shifts and ensure effective and efficient BOH operations including food prep and cooking
  • Ensure adequate inventory levels of food and supplies
  • Supervise kitchen, dish and other BOH teams
  • Lead BOH pre-shift meetings and participate in line, temp and cooler checks and food tastings
  • Partner with GM and management to review and maintain recipe books
  • Perform regular line checks to ensure quality of menu items
  • Purchase and order food products and supplies including daily orders
  • Assist with tracking and controlling food cost
  • Communicate food production and timing issues between FOH and BOH
  • Interview, hire, onboard, train, supervise and develop BOH staff
  • Model and promote teamwork across all teams
  • Use tact and judgment when dealing with guests, vendors and employees
  • Work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late nights and weekends
  • Move and lift weights as required
