Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three plus years cooking experience in a high volume food service establishment
  • Experience training kitchen staff in culinary techniques or other kitchen duties
  • Food Handler's Certificate or able to obtain within 14 days of hire
  • First Aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • ServSafe Certification or able to obtain as determined by community needs
  • Ability to pass DSHS and State background check

Job Duties

  • Ensure food service delivery standards are met and maintained
  • Complete food and supplies inventory and ordering
  • Provide support for the culinary team in the absence of the Culinary Services Director
  • Prepare and present food and meals in accordance with planned menus, recipes, and portion control procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness standards and adhere to established hygiene and sanitation policies
  • Record daily temperature logs and evaluate food quality through smells and tastes
  • Detect hazardous situations and take corrective actions
