Job Duties

  • Partner with the Executive Chef to lead and support the Back of House team and daily kitchen operations
  • produce high-quality dishes that consistently meet standards for flavor, presentation, and execution
  • keep the kitchen organized, focused, and running efficiently during service
  • help create and execute menus that reflect the restaurant’s style, vision, and guest expectations
  • bring creativity to the kitchen by developing new dishes and contributing ideas to menu development
  • step in for the Executive Chef when needed to help plan and direct food preparation
  • train, coach, and develop kitchen team members to help them grow their skills and deliver exceptional results
  • create schedules and organize the kitchen workload to ensure the team is set up for success
  • delegate prep, cleaning, and other kitchen responsibilities during downtime
  • manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper product rotation to maintain quality and control costs
  • partner with the Executive Chef to achieve budgeted kitchen costs and maintain strong operational discipline
  • conduct menu tastings and help ensure consistency across every dish
  • ensure all kitchen equipment is safe, clean, and in proper working order, with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as needed
  • maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment while following and enforcing all applicable safety and sanitation standards
  • lead with a positive, professional, and collaborative attitude with both team members and guests
  • support a culture of accountability, teamwork, and hospitality
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
