The role of Sous Chef at Leisure Care is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of dining quality for the residents. This position involves supporting the Executive Chef in managing kitchen operations to ensure the delivery of appealing and nutritious meals. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in organizing the kitchen workload efficiently while maintaining excellence in food quality. Responsibilities also include overseeing purchasing and inventory to maintain efficient stock levels and compliance with state and local regulations for food safety and operations. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 3 years experience in a kitchen or culinary role
- knowledge of food safety regulations
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- good communication and leadership skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
