The role of Chef Manager at Aramark is critical to achieving the company’s high standards in food quality, customer service, and operational excellence. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Chef Manager takes a hands-on leadership approach to develop and manage the kitchen team, ensuring culinary excellence across all outlets. This position involves training kitchen personnel, coordinating culinary activities, and overseeing food preparation processes to maintain exceptional standards. The Chef Manager is also responsible for estimating food consumption, ordering supplies, and developing and standardizing recipes, which ensures consistent quality and innovation in menu offerings. Additionally, the role requires active involvement in establishing presentation techniques, price planning, and managing kitchen equipment maintenance to uphold safety and sanitation protocols.
Beyond the daily kitchen management, the Chef Manager plays an instrumental role in organizing special catering events and providing culinary instruction by demonstrating advanced techniques. Job Duties
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise coordinate all related culinary activities
- estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- ensure proper equipment operation maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and or demonstrates culinary techniques
