With a focus on excellence and creativity, the distillery has cultivated a culture that values both tradition and modern culinary artistry. The organization supports its employees through comprehensive benefits and fosters an inclusive environment dedicated to equal employment opportunities for all, emphasizing diversity and respect in the workplace.
We are currently seeking to add a talented Sous Chef to our team at High West Distillery. This position offers an exciting opportunity for culinary professionals who possess both strong culinary skills and management experience, particularly in the events and private party catering sector. As Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in shaping the culinary direction of our events by managing meal services, ensuring food quality, and overseeing the culinary team with an emphasis on creativity and collaboration. This is a full-time role that demands a high level of responsibility, excellent leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional food experiences.
The Sous Chef will be directly involved in the coordination of food preparation for events and private parties, working closely with the Chef de Cuisine to manage ordering, prep lists, and execution. The role requires proficiency in preparing various meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food types while maintaining impeccable kitchen organization and adhering to all sanitation standards mandated by local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting in inventory management, expense reconciliation, and the training and development of kitchen staff. Our ideal candidate is someone who thrives under pressure, demonstrates attention to detail, and embraces innovation in culinary techniques such as butchery, charcuterie, and garde manger.
Compensation for this role ranges from $53,300 to $76,700 annually, reflecting factors like experience, education, and location. The role requires flexibility regarding work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, given the dynamic nature of our hospitality environment. We provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and more. Above all, High West Distillery is committed to fostering a supportive and growth-oriented workplace where culinary professionals can excel and contribute to memorable guest experiences.
