The role of Sous Chef at Lucky Strike Entertainment is an exciting opportunity embedded within a vibrant and dynamic environment designed to offer unforgettable guest experiences. This position provides an hourly pay range of $28.00 to $30.00, complemented by performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, inclusive of healthcare coverage and a variety of other employee benefits. As a Sous Chef, you will be an essential part of the Food & Beverage program, combining your natural culinary talent with strong managerial expertise. You will uphold the company's nationally recognized menus, ensuring that food quality, freshness, and presentation consistently meet high standards. This role involves managing kitchen operations efficiently while collaborating closely with the operations and sales teams to deliver exceptional banquets and catered events.
Daily responsibilities include adhering to mandated Food & Beverage menus and purchasing programs, maintaining budgeted revenue and costs, monitoring labor and supplies, and reviewing profit and loss statements to make necessary financial adjustments. You will take the lead in planning, supervising, and executing banquet functions, overseeing food preparation, service, and cleanup.
Additionally, the Sous Chef is accountable for estimating food consumption, making appropriate purchases, and scheduling staff to match business volume fluctuations. Working with the Kitchen Manager or Chef and the General Manager, you will help address and resolve disciplinary issues while fostering a cooperative and productive team environment.
Health and safety are paramount; hence, you will assist in managing kitchen equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with local Department of Health regulations by conducting sanitation audits. Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times is crucial to the role.
This position demands a proactive approach to identifying and reporting critical issues to the General Manager immediately, ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and upholds the company's standards at all times.

Job Requirements
- minimum of 1-3 years of kitchen supervisory experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue
- experience preparing catered events and presenting foods for special events desirable
- relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable
- current ServSafe certification required

Job Duties
- adhere to the company's mandated food & beverage menu and purchasing programs
- maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
- review monthly profit & loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
- work with the operations team and sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute banquet functions including food preparation, service, and cleanup
- estimate food consumption and make purchases according to the specified food program
- schedule staff efficiently to accommodate shifts in business volume
- partner with kitchen manager/chef or general manager to address and resolve disciplinary issues
- ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
