The role of Sous Chef at Creative Dining Services is an integral part of its culinary team, offering a blend of hands-on kitchen work and supervisory responsibilities. The Sous Chef is entrusted with planning and directing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring that production aligns seamlessly with service times and maintains the highest standards of quality and safety. This position requires an individual who is not only skilled in culinary techniques but also adept at managing kitchen operations, including supervising and training staff, maintaining production and sanitation logs, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

In this role, the Sous Chef is expected to oversee batch cooking techniques to prevent over or under production, optimize food storage with proper labeling and temperature controls, and utilize online systems for recipe and purchase management. The position demands a strong focus on maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, managing kitchen opening and closing procedures, and effectively communicating with the Executive Chef and other team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Physical demands for the Sous Chef include the ability to work in varying environment conditions and to lift or move items weighing up to 25 pounds. Shift hours may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality industry.   • Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service

  • utilize safe food handling techniques at all times
