This position offers an annual salary range of $70,500 to $80,000, with eligibility for bonuses. The Sous Chef will play a critical role in kitchen operations, overseeing everything from daily flow and food quality to inventory management and event execution.
As Sous Chef, you will be the right hand in leading the back-of-house team through high-volume service periods while ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish served. Your responsibilities will include managing line staff, prep cooks, and dish team, training new and existing team members, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and collaborating closely with front-of-house leadership for seamless operations. This role requires a hands-on leader passionate about hospitality, culinary excellence, and fostering a supportive team environment.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ServSafe Manager Certification
- 3-4 years of leadership experience in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Experience with inventory systems and supplier ordering
- Event or catering experience preferred
- Proficiency in kitchen operations, prep systems, and safety protocols
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Job Duties
- Lead by example, manage line staff, prep cooks, and dish team to maintain performance and morale
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to ensure consistency, speed, and compliance
- Oversee day-to-day back-of-house operations, ensuring kitchen efficiency, cleanliness, and team performance
- Ensure all dishes meet brand standards for quality, presentation, and timing
- Conduct weekly inventory counts, place supplier orders, and assist inventory management to reduce waste and control food cost
- Ensure proper execution of front-of-house events including placing orders, prepping, and maintaining quality standards during private and brand events
- Uphold strict adherence to health codes, sanitation practices, and safety procedures
- Work closely with front-of-house leadership and management to ensure smooth communication and service execution
