The restaurant is currently recruiting for a full-time Sous Chef position, offering a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $70,000 annually.

The Sous Chef role at The Social is a pivotal leadership position within the kitchen, directly supporting the Executive Chef in managing day-to-day kitchen operations and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. Job Requirements

  • Previous Sous Chef or kitchen leadership experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and service standards
  • Understanding of inventory management, food cost control, and ordering procedures
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain composed and efficient in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule with availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Food Handler certification required

Job Duties

  • Support the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, prep, and service
  • Lead and motivate kitchen staff while maintaining a professional and collaborative environment
  • Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, portioning, and execution
  • Assist with menu development, recipe standardization, and seasonal updates
  • Monitor inventory, ordering, and product quality while supporting cost control measures
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist with scheduling, training, and overall kitchen operations
  • Coordinate service execution for private events, large parties, and special functions
  • Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure a seamless guest experience
