The hotel chain integrates sustainability practices through its EarthView program, reflecting its dedication to environmental stewardship and responsible business operations. In addition to focusing on guest satisfaction, HHM Hotels supports personal and professional growth pathways for its employees.

This is an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals looking to advance their careers within a prestigious hospitality company. The Sous Chef role involves actively participating in food preparation, managing kitchen staff, developing new recipes, and enforcing established food quality and guest service standards. This key leadership position requires a hands-on approach to managing day-to-day kitchen activities, maintaining budgetary controls, and promoting sustainability practices.
The Sous Chef will be responsible for interviewing, selecting, training, coaching, and scheduling kitchen associates to ensure all staff follow brand and hotel standards. The incumbent will also supervise food preparation to guarantee that menu items are produced according to recipes and portion guidelines. In partnership with the Executive Chef, the Sous Chef will contribute to developing innovative menu items and refining existing recipes to enhance the culinary offerings of the hotel. This role requires continuous staff training, performance evaluation, and motivation to foster a cohesive and skilled kitchen team.
Attention to financial management, including budgeting and cost monitoring, is an essential component of the Sous Chef’s responsibilities. The individual will work diligently to contain unnecessary expenditures while maintaining operational efficiency. The role also involves conducting regular staff meetings to maintain open communication, address team concerns promptly, and uphold the company’s core values, such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It.
Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic work environment that includes standing for prolonged periods, lifting heavy items, and working on holidays and weekends. The position demands adherence to strict safety protocols compliant with OSHA and MSDS standards to ensure a safe working environment.
