Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two or more years of relevant culinary management experience
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- physical capability to stand, squat, sit, or walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and knives
- ability to work in varying kitchen conditions involving heat, steam, smoke, and confined spaces
- possession of hearing, visual, and sensory abilities necessary for food quality and safety
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of high-volume culinary management experience
- demonstrated understanding of business operations and financials
- experience with POS and inventory control systems
- strong leadership and team development skills
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- ability to manage budgets and labor efficiently
Job Duties
- Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, and planning
- demonstrate ingredient knowledge and understanding of culinary trends
- use career experience and talents to help the restaurant reach its financial goals by controlling cost of goods and seeking solutions when targets are not met
- maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance
- manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise creating a calm and positive work environment
- foster an environment of continuous learning, open feedback, and corrective action
- manage labor expectations and plan each scheduled shift accordingly
- demonstrate knowledge of sales and labor budgets and discuss P&L with management team
