Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • two or more years of relevant culinary management experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • physical capability to stand, squat, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and knives
  • ability to work in varying kitchen conditions involving heat, steam, smoke, and confined spaces
  • possession of hearing, visual, and sensory abilities necessary for food quality and safety
  • strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure environments

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of high-volume culinary management experience
  • demonstrated understanding of business operations and financials
  • experience with POS and inventory control systems
  • strong leadership and team development skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • excellent communication and organizational skills
  • ability to manage budgets and labor efficiently

Job Duties

  • Manage shifts which include daily decision making, scheduling, and planning
  • demonstrate ingredient knowledge and understanding of culinary trends
  • use career experience and talents to help the restaurant reach its financial goals by controlling cost of goods and seeking solutions when targets are not met
  • maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance
  • manage on-the-fly requests with ease and poise creating a calm and positive work environment
  • foster an environment of continuous learning, open feedback, and corrective action
  • manage labor expectations and plan each scheduled shift accordingly
  • demonstrate knowledge of sales and labor budgets and discuss P&L with management team
