The Sous Chef position at Flower Child is a vital role that blends culinary expertise with operational leadership to help maintain the high standards of the restaurant. This full-time role offers competitive compensation ranging from $58,000 to $64,000 per year, coupled with generous benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage available within 30 days of employment, retirement savings with company match, and attractive dining discounts at all Fox Restaurant Concepts properties. The Sous Chef will be instrumental in ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly during high-volume service, while also managing staff, maintaining product quality, and upholding cleanliness standards. Job Requirements

  • Must have 2 or more years of high-volume restaurant management experience
  • demonstrate understanding of business operations and financials
  • ability to manage shifts including scheduling and planning
  • knowledge of food ingredient characteristics and flavors
  • capability to maintain product quality and cleanliness
  • ability to remain calm in a high-volume environment
  • familiarity with POS systems and reservation platforms
  • proven leadership and coaching skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of high-volume restaurant management experience
  • strong understanding of business operations and financials
  • knowledge of flavors, aromas, and characteristics of food ingredients
  • experience with POS systems and OpenTable or other reservation systems
  • leadership and team development skills
  • excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
