We emphasize diversity of thought and inclusion, valuing each associate's contribution to our shared success. We are proud to promote a culture where employees can thrive professionally while making a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.

The Sous Chef position available at the Oshkosh Area School District is a full-time role offering a competitive pay range of $25.00 to $28.00 per hour. Supervision of hourly foodservice associates is a key responsibility, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll participation, training, counseling, and disciplinary actions as needed. The Sous Chef also ensures adherence to corporate, state, and federal safety and sanitation procedures, maintains kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, and handles inventory management by monitoring deliveries, product consumption, and waste.

This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a genuine commitment to promoting a positive and productive work environment. The candidate will interact with customers in a service-oriented manner to resolve complaints and relay essential information to supervisors. It is necessary to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of daily menu items and provide clear explanations to both associates and customers, support peak production and service hours, and effectively assist in other duties as assigned.

Chartwells K12 associates benefit from a rewarding employment package that includes retirement plans, health and wellness programs, voluntary benefits like critical illness and accident insurance, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees. Additional benefits include life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, an employee assistance program, flexible spending accounts, and employee discount opportunities. Furthermore, associates may be eligible for paid or unpaid time off in accordance with applicable laws.
