Job Description

White Lodging is a distinguished hospitality company that develops and manages a portfolio of award-winning, premium-brand hotels, rooftop bars, and restaurants located in some of the most desirable cities across the United States. With a strong commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences, White Lodging has built a reputation for excellence in both hospitality and service. The company understands that the core of the hospitality business, much like life itself, revolves around how people are made to feel during their interactions, which is why it places a high value on the quality of personal connection and attentive service.

Presently, White Lodging is seeking a Sommelier for Yacht Club, an exclusive fine dining seafood restaurant in the soon-to-open Hotel Trinity, part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Scheduled to open in late 2026, Hotel Trinity is Austin's newest luxury boutique hotel located in the vibrant downtown district, providing guests with a private and sophisticated hideaway experience. Yacht Club will be central to the hotel's ground floor offerings and will feature a refined and accessible approach to coastal cuisine. This signature restaurant will emphasize premium fresh seafood, including an oyster bar, complemented by thoughtfully crafted steakhouse selections, seasonal menus, and an elevated wine and beverage program.

As a Sommelier at Yacht Club, the successful candidate will be integral to creating memorable dining experiences by providing expert wine service and education. The role requires a hands-on approach to guiding guests through wine selections that enhance their meal, maintaining and curating wine lists, managing wine inventory effectively, and working closely with other members of the front-of-house team to ensure consistent, high-quality wine service. The Sommelier will also have the opportunity to participate in wine-focused events, contribute to the crafting of a wine program that reflects both innovation and tradition, and help set the standard for hospitality excellence at one of Austin's most anticipated new dining destinations.

This role demands a passionate wine expert with a service-first attitude, the ability to collaborate with a diverse team, and excellent communication skills. The Sommelier must possess a deep understanding of global wine varietals, production methods, and regional distinctions while being committed to educating both staff and guests. Working at Yacht Club offers the chance to be part of an exciting hospitality venture backed by White Lodging's strong values of inclusivity, opportunity, and professional development.
