This role involves working as a CNC Machinist responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes to manufacture high-quality aerospace components. The machinist will work with a range of materials, including castings, forgings, screw machine blanks, turret lathe blanks, sawed blanks, and bar stock. Responsibilities include changing chuck jaws, tool holders, fixtures, boring bars, drills, reamers, and setting tools, along with modifying CNC programs and offsets to ensure parts meet strict quality standards. The role supports Lean Manufacturing principles such as one-piece flow, standardized work, 6S methodology, setup reduction, and wet process lines, all contributing to smooth operations and efficiency.

Candidates will be involved in maintaining high housekeeping standards, ensuring safety and efficiency by keeping work areas clean and organized. This position requires making operational decisions based on experience and data, and engaging with a team-oriented environment where continuous learning and development are encouraged.
