The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager role at OPmobility is an essential leadership position within a single-site manufacturing facility. This is a long-term, at-will contract expected to commence in August 2026. The successful candidate will take ownership of ensuring that the facility complies with a variety of critical standards and regulations including OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and OHSAS 18001, alongside federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety laws. This role demands a knowledgeable professional who can oversee environmental compliance programs addressing hazardous waste, solid waste, wastewater, stormwater management, air permitting, and air quality assurance. The EHS Manager will also spearhead workplace safety initiatives, maintaining OSHA-required programs, accurate logs, and prompt reporting and investigation of accidents and incidents.

In addition to compliance oversight, the EHS Manager will lead the site's Safety Committee and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans. This individual is responsible for safety training programs, certification, and record-keeping, particularly for forklift operators and other required safety courses. Serving as the facility's representative for ISO management systems positions the EHS Manager at the core of operational excellence and sustainability efforts. The role requires coordination of recycling operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, fostering waste segregation, and promoting continuous improvement initiatives. Further responsibilities include managing site security personnel and activities such as access control and asset protection, as well as leading the Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) program through development, training, auditing, and compliance monitoring. This key position supports continuous improvement and corrective action efforts, playing a vital role in sustaining a culture dedicated to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship.
