Job Description

Atlas Copco Group is a leading global provider of sustainable productivity solutions. With a rich history spanning over a century, Atlas Copco specializes in innovative industrial equipment, tools, and assembly systems that are designed to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reliability. The company is renowned for its commitment to quality, customer-centric approach, and continuous technological advancements, making it a top choice for businesses seeking robust and advanced manufacturing support. With operations worldwide, Atlas Copco fosters a culture of innovation, diversity, and teamwork, ensuring employees have opportunities for professional growth and a supportive work environment.

This particular opportunity is with Atlas Copco Tools & Assembly Systems LLC, located on-site in Arlington, TX. The role offered is that of a Site Coordinator, directly supporting one of the company's major customers, General Motors (GM). The Site Coordinator position is a critical liaison role responsible for bridging technical expertise and customer operations. The coordinator will work closely with GM's production, maintenance, and tool repair teams to ensure smooth assembly tool operations on GM's second shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, including regular Saturday shifts that average a 49-50 hour workweek.

Unlike typical repair technician roles, this job emphasizes partnering and consulting with GM’s union tool repair specialists. The Site Coordinator acts as the primary Atlas Copco representative on-site, providing troubleshooting expertise, technical guidance, and recommendations to optimize tool performance and resolve issues promptly during production line disruptions. The role requires critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. Physical tasks include lifting up to 60 pounds, supporting tool installations, configurations, and software updates. Additionally, the coordinator advocates for preventative maintenance strategies to enhance tool reliability and minimize unexpected downtime.

This position demands a blend of mechanical and technical aptitude, including the ability to interpret schematics, proficiency with Microsoft Office, networking, and database systems. The coordinator must thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, offering solutions to complex equipment challenges while maintaining close collaboration with cross-functional teams. Schedule flexibility is essential to meet operational demands and ensure continuous support for manufacturing processes.

By joining Atlas Copco as a Site Coordinator, employees become part of a global leader dedicated to innovation and sustainability. The position offers a dynamic work environment with professional development opportunities, comprehensive benefits like medical, dental, and vision insurance, and a culture that values diversity, teamwork, and work-life balance. This is an exciting career path for those passionate about leveraging technical expertise to impact industrial manufacturing positively.
