This position primarily supports meal services at Shula's Steak House and the hotel’s banquet outlets, focusing on food preparation, station setup, and line support during both lunch and dinner services. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in similar roles, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistency and efficiency under pressure.
Scheduled from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM with flexibility based on operational needs including weekends and holidays, the Line Cook is key to ensuring timely, high-quality food production that meets the restaurant’s standards and customer expectations. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking dishes as per recipes and chef instructions, restocking supplies, maintaining sanitation and organization, and assisting with additional duties as needed under the guidance of kitchen leadership. This role requires physical endurance for standing extended periods and lifting heavy items, along with a strong team-oriented attitude and good communication skills.

- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience as a line cook or prep cook
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items up to 50 pounds
- capacity to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards

Job Duties
- Prepare ingredients, cook and assemble dishes according to recipes and chef specifications
- support lunch service operations for the hotel restaurant and banquet outlets as needed
- complete prep work for Shula's dinner line and assist with opening line setup
- ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and consistent manner
- restock ingredients and maintain organized workstations to support smooth kitchen operations
- follow portion control standards and minimize waste to maintain food cost goals
- set up and clean stations according to restaurant and kitchen protocols
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, tables, shelves and prep areas
- comply with all sanitary, health and personal hygiene standards
- monitor quality and freshness of ingredients and products
- assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned by the line supervisor, sous chef or executive chef
